I finished the first draft of “Darkness Beyond the Stars.” It clocks in at roughly 10 thousand words. It contains two old favorites: Marguerite Sanchez and Ruthie Jones. I think I’ve written and rewritten the meeting of these two characters at least three different times. I added in the ever popular Rooster Brown and changed the setting somewhat. I think it turned out pretty good. Mostly, I just need to go over it again and fine tune some of the text. Also, I’m not happy with the title. I don’t think it fits the story as much as I imagined, even though I love that title. I’m working on something new. I have some time before my deadline.
“The Strange Shell Game of the Undead Alchemist” has hit a wall. I’m working a little bit on the outline of the mystery.
