My short story “The City of Yellow Lights” has been published in The Lovecraft Ezine Issue 35. This story was inspired by information in the biography of Jack “the King” Kirby and his wartime experiences.
Teaser: “The City of Yellow Lights” features an alternative Paris set during World War II where the forces of the King in Yellow have taken over the City of Lights from the Nazis. The Allies send in Private Jacob Kurtzberg (aka comic book legend Jack Kirby) to scout ahead so he can draw maps of the safe routes and strange new architecture. Hilarity does not ensue.
