Building An Anthology: The Future Embodied

Mae Empson and I have been friends for several years.  She is a delightful writer with a soft voice that can recall unexpected and chilling facts with great relish.  (I’ll be having a nightmare tonight about pine trees growing in a living set of human lungs tonight curiosity of Ms. Empson.)

Tonight was special.  It was our first meeting as co-editors of an upcoming speculative fiction anthology.  The amazing Jason Carl  made a virtual appearance and assisted with some marketing/wording suggestions.  (This man is a certified genius.)  We managed to nail down a good many details that we’re not quite ready to share yet.  We’ll be posting guidelines, submission dates, and other details when appropriate.

I am over the moon with excitement.

Here is a fun teaser:

The Future Embodied – An anthology of speculative stories exploring how science and technology might change our bodies and what it means to be human.
