I clocked in 2800 words this weekend for “Mathematics of the Chosen”
There are a couple of classist and racist characters in this story.
One of them uses the n-bomb. I tried to think of another way someone would say the same thing and really that’s the word really racist people use.
The n-bomb is a word that has a lot of meaning and context. For me, it brings up a lot of shame, guilt, and a nasty hole in my stomach. But that’s because I’m a white liberal from California that’s been almost programmed to fear that word.
My next story is titled “The New Gods of the Lost Children”. It’s about homeless kids creating new myths and gods.
